Welcome to Julie Billiart Schools, a family of K-8 coeducational, Catholic day schools for children with learning and social differences.
For 70 years, JB students have benefitted from individualized instruction, small class sizes, and onsite therapies. In 1954, the Sisters of Notre Dame opened the first Julie Billiart School to 14 students. As our reputation grew, so did the number of families who sought a setting like JB. In 2017, we expanded from our flagship campus in Lyndhurst to a new campus in Akron. In 2021, we expanded again to Westlake. Families now have three JB locations from which to choose.
All JB locations offer the same educational model and services that families have come to love and expect. All locations offer 1:6 student ratios for grades K-2 and 1:8 student ratios for grades 3-8. All locations offer an onsite Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and two certified intervention specialists per grade, as well as speech, occupational, music, and art therapies. Our growth is intentional but responsible to make sure that students receive the same level of care, excellence, and integrity at each campus.
While each campus has a unique personality, made up by the wonderful students, faculty, and staff at that school, all JB campuses share one identity, one mission, and one heart - our kids.
