They have all the resources necessary, specialized to the individual learning of each child, and the heart that goes with it. I don't think we would have stayed in Ohio if it wasn't for JB!

Take the Next Step
Julie Billiart Schools goes beyond academics to engage the whole child before, during, and after school hours with a carefully designed schedule that gives students plenty of time to create, play, move, and learn.
Experienced staff members supervise all programs and diligently oversee the safety and well being of each child. After-hour activities at Julie Billiart Schools give students the opportunity to experience an extra dose of hands-on indoor/outdoor play and the chance to further develop social and academic learning. A variety of activities and options are available at our schools.
Please note that the following is not a comprehensive list of all activities, but rather a sampling that may or may not be available at the time of enrollment. Based on staffing, interest, and participation, each JB School has its own unique activities.
All JB students partake in a customized gym class twice a week. Gym activities are specially designed for our kids to practice proprioceptive movement and social tools, and to release stress and anxiety.
All JB students enjoy art classes that spark creativity and connection. Art classes are separate from art therapy, which is also available to individuals or small groups throughout the week.
All JB students enjoy music classes which include music theory, vocal group singing, and music appreciation. Music classes are separate from music therapy, which is also available to individuals or small groups throughout the week.
Once a week, students participate in a prayer service, which is a soothing time to reflect on their actions, intentions, and prayers, and hear that God loves them. Mass is held at all campuses once a month.
During the school year, students have the opportunity to take part in a Nativity or Christmas play, as well as other skits and productions.
All JB Schools hold spirit days and spirit weeks to bring students together.
Students in middle school can participate in the Student Board to help make decisions, organize fundraisers and events, and more.
Register your child in Aftercare at either JB Lyndhurst or JB Akron for additional social time and homework assistance.
Give your child a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience with Julie Billiart Schools' award-winning Beyond Camp. Beyond Camp is strategically structured and staffed to help prevent summer learning loss and promote social skills and academics through community-based experiences.
Depending on your campus of interest, after school programs might include the annual “I Believe in Me” race at Akron or team soccer tournaments at Lyndhurst.
An after school activity that provides materials and instruction for students who are seeking a creative outlet.
Bro Council is an activities-based educational program for 7th and 8th-grade boys. At this time, this program is only offered at JB Lyndhurst. The year-long program introduces a variety of essential skills that every young man should know in order to successfully create and build new relationships, remain healthy, transition into high school, and become an integral part of our society.
When children are actively engaged in hands-on, interactive learning activities, their creativity flourishes and they show a greater interest in school. Snapology helps children develop a thirst for knowledge through creative play using LEGO® bricks, K’Nex, and technology.
The Knight School has developed a fun, kid-friendly approach to the game of chess. As students learn, practice, and play the game of chess they gain academic confidence, analytical ability, personal integrity, and a positive self-identity.
Students are invited to have fun while practicing Spanish words and phrases in conversation. Spanish Club provides many opportunities for language practice and cultural activities.
Out of interest from our students, we started a BeyBlade club that meets periodically for a fun and engaging chance for kids to practice sportsmanship, fine motor skills, and interpersonal skills. Beyblades or “Beys” are spinning tops.
This is a great time for kids to explore their personal interests in art and receive hands-on guidance, tools, and materials outside of art class.
