Julie Billiart Schools are only as strong as the faculty and staff who make up the JB family. We’re blessed with an incredibly talented team of intervention specialists, therapists, and administrative professionals. As we enter the new school year, we are excited to welcome our new faculty to our Akron and Lyndhurst campuses. Here’s a brief overview of each of them and what they have to say about joining the JB family.
What grade will you be teaching?
I will be teaching seventh grade.
What are you most excited about at JB?
The students! Every minute I've spent at JB has been filled with reasons to love them. And the JB staff is one of the most extraordinary and passionate I've ever worked with. I also love the wildlife surrounding the JB Lyndhurst campus. Animals and nature are big passions of mine.
Where are you coming from?
I'm relatively new to teaching. I have about three years of formal experience, and before that I worked in media, journalism, entertainment, and magazines on the east coast.
Anything else you'd like to mention?
I'm very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the JB family. I can't wait to get started.
What grade will you be teaching?
I will be teaching Kindergarten.
What are you most excited about at JB?
I am most excited to meet my students and become part of the JB family!
Where are you coming from?
I previously taught at Cleveland College Preparatory school as a K-4 Intervention Specialist.
What grade will you be teaching?
I will be teaching eighth grade at JB Lyndhurst.
What are you most excited about at JB?
I am most excited about meeting my students and learning from my colleagues. I was a student teacher at JB under Chris McCloskey and Erica Pirc in 2016. They were AMAZING supervising teachers, and I couldn’t be more excited to be returning!
Where are you coming from?
I am coming from teaching AP Gov (12th grade), Honors Psych (12th grade), and Medieval and Early Modern World History (9th grade) at Hathaway Brown School (HB). I also was an assistant swimming coach for the middle school at HB.
Anything else you’d like to mention?
I have two daughters who attend HB, 8 and 10 years old. I have one dog and two cats. I am a Disney and Harry Potter fanatic. I also love to travel, read, and run (especially RunDisney races) even though I am a complete klutz!
What grade will you be teaching?
I will be a building substitute for grades Kindergarten through eighth grade.
What are you most excited about at JB?
I am so excited to get to work with the team of teachers at Julie Billiart Schools. The familial culture of the school drew me in and made me want to work here!
Where are you coming from?
For the last two years I have interned with a religious non-profit, Cru, that works on college campuses in Cleveland. Throughout my time there I came alongside college students interested in furthering their faith. I am so excited to get to return to teaching this year.
What grade will you be teaching?
I will be teaching fifth grade at JB Akron this coming school year.
What are you most excited about at JB?
I am most excited to work with younger students once again! I completed my student teaching in a second grade classroom and had a blast with that group. After graduating from college, I found myself working in the high school setting, which was great in its own way; however, I always missed the unpredictable excitement and pure enjoyment of a class which had yet to enter the "too cool for school" teenage years!
Where are you coming from?
I'll be coming from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School to join Julie Billiart Schools. It was a tough decision to leave such a great school, but I knew in my heart that teaching fifth grade excites me too much to not jump at the opportunity. Obviously I'm biased, but my hope is that we can guide a few of these JB youngsters that way for their high school days as I know what a phenomenal program and group of intervention specialists STVM has to offer!
What grade will you be teaching?
I will be teaching fourth grade.
What are you most excited about at JB?
I am most excited about meeting the teachers and the students.
Where are you coming from?
I graduated from the University of Dayton in May.
Anything else you'd like to mention?
I am so excited to join the Julie Billiart Schools team!
What grade will you be teaching?
I am teaching fourth grade.
What are you most excited about at JB?
I'm most excited to be joining such an innovative and kind community!

I am coming from the Monarch Center for Autism. I received my bachelor's degree from Kent State University and my master's degree from Miami University!
