The Spark Education Conference is a day designed to celebrate and empower educators as they get ready for the new school year. With opportunities to learn new teaching strategies and receive special awards, the event helps reignite their passion for education and prepares them to start the year feeling inspired and supported.
Julie Billiart Schools is proud to announce that Sydney LaPointe and Jodi Johnston, two of our outstanding staff members, received the prestigious Spark Teacher Awards for their exceptional commitment to education.
Sydney LaPointe, Third Grade Intervention Specialist at JB Westlake, received the Spark Teacher Award for her incredible dedication and positive impact on the entire school community. Her passion for teaching and unwavering commitment to her students truly sets her apart. She's described as having a "magnetic" personality, with an authentic and humble spirit that makes a difference not only in the classroom but also among her colleagues. This award is a testament to her inspiring work and the compassionate, encouraging environment she creates every day.
Jodi Johnston, Chief Schools Officer, received the Spark Teacher Award for her unwavering commitment to the educational community. Beginning her JB career in the classroom and then Principal at JB Lyndhurst, Jodi continues to be a powerful force for growth, actively mentoring our teachers and staff. This award is a testament to her dedication to making a difference, not just for students, but for the entire Julie Billiart Schools community.
