The 2024-25 school year saw tremendous growth and success for our students and while 2025-26 is in full swing, we still want to take a moment to reflect on last year. Guided by the values of the Sisters of Notre Dame, we see the beliefs of Julie Billiart practiced by our faculty and staff each day. The SND national network annually distributes awards to those who demonstrate the mission, vision, and charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame.
The Gospel Witness Award is given to an employee who gives witness to Jesus’ spirit of compassion and hope, especially to those who experience poverty in its various forms. Gospel Witness Award recipients also reflect and nurture the Notre Dame Charism, spirit, and mission within their professional and personal communities.
Chief Strategy Officer Jason Wojnicz earned this esteemed recognition given his dedication to empowering our students and their families. He embodies the spirit of compassion by tirelessly working to create opportunities and remove barriers, ensuring that every child has access to the specialized education they deserve. Jason’s commitment to our community is a true testament to the mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame.
The Father Bernard Overberg “Teacher of Teachers” Award recognizes educators who demonstrate an exceptional, inspirational impact on the formation and professional learning of other teachers.
JB Lyndhurst Fifth Grade teacher, Patrick Koenig, received this honor in recognition of his passion for inspiring and mentoring his colleagues. Patrick consistently models best practices, shares his expertise, and fosters a collaborative environment where every teacher can grow. His dedication to professional development not only elevates his own classroom but also strengthens the entire academic community.
