While winter still looms in Northeast Ohio, Julie Billiart Schools has summer in mind and is excited to host the 11th season of its award winning Beyond Camp program.
Registration is now open for 2025 Beyond Camp - a summer camp for children entering grades K-9 (ages 5 to 14) with special learning needs. Staff includes highly experienced intervention specialists, a speech/language pathologist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Beyond Camp is a four-week summer camp structured to help prevent summer learning loss, enhance social skills and academic development through a variety of activities including community-based experiences. Activities include but are not limited to exercise/wellness, cooking, writing, art, STEM, sports.
Beyond Camp runs July 7 through Aug. 1 at the Julie Billiart Akron, Lyndhurst and Westlake campuses and offers Kindergarten and School Age programs. Beyond Camp Kindergarten is for children entering Kindergarten in fall of 2025 and offers a half-day schedule, from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday. School Age is for those entering first through ninth grades in the fall and runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
"Celebrating our 11th year, Beyond Camp has become a trusted summer opportunity for fostering social and emotional growth in our students,” said Chief Strategy Officer Jason Wojnicz. “Our programming creates meaningful community experiences and engaging activities that build self-confidence and nurture peer relationships.”
Beyond Camp is $1,250 for Kindergarten and $2,150 for School Age. Additional financial support is available for Beyond Camp participants through your local offices.
