[Akron, OH, August 26, 2023] Last weekend, Julie Billiart School Akron (JB Akron) received some much-needed updates to their existing playground. On Saturday morning, a crew from Kenmore Construction Co. Inc. donated their time and resources to update the landscape for JB Akron.
Kenmore Construction Co. Inc., started in 1956 and has been a long-time supporter of the Akron community. Kenmore has been instrumental in the evolution of JB Akron– from its initial opening to continued improvements to the exterior of the building. Being a family-owned and operated business, they have always believed in supporting the communities in which they live and work in and have always been drawn to JB’s mission. They also support the idea that the outside aesthetics of a school should fill students with a sense of pride. They have always wanted JB to be safe, welcoming, and a place all students can call home.
“We are forever grateful for the support Kenmore has given us over the years”, said Gabrielle Redovian, Principal JB Akron. “Kenmore cares about our students and they have always understood the importance of recess for our students. We love knowing that when they are outside they are safe and can truly enjoy themselves. Without the generosity of businesses like Kenmore, that wouldn’t be possible for our students.”
After the completion of its most recent renovation project in December 2022, JB Akron has the capacity to support 132 students. Throughout the year, JB hosts Admissions Information Sessions for interested families to check out our unique learning environment. With our rolling admissions, you can apply at any time.
