They have all the resources necessary, specialized to the individual learning of each child, and the heart that goes with it. I don't think we would have stayed in Ohio if it wasn't for JB!

School is back in session and we have been anticipating the return of our students all summer long. Changes have been taking place at each campus over the last few months to prepare for a great start to the new school year. We hope you enjoy these campus updates!
Construction at our Akron Campus has made incredible progress since our last update over the summer. More recently we’ve been installing windows, heating and cooling systems, drywall, and continuing to make progress with all of the electrical work. We’re slated to wrap up the project early this winter. Check out these progress pictures below!
At Lyndhurst, we were eager to welcome our students back to see some of the updates we’ve made throughout the building. We’ve added pops of blue throughout the first floor of our building and a large sunflower decal that serves as a wonderful focal point near our main entrance. We are looking forward to our upcoming library renovations, made possible by IDEA funds. You can check out the full story here.
Our summer was extremely productive at our Westlake Campus with the completion of our lower level. Now home to our 3rd-8th graders, these spacious classrooms truly feel like home for our students. The classrooms in our lower levels are the first in the state of Ohio to have LightGlass windows. These are exciting for a number of reasons!
They simulate daylight by automatically changing the color temperature and intensity of the light output.
There is evidence that shows that lighting is directly tied to our instinctive circadian rhythms, which impact sleep and mood. (The warm sun setting alarms our sleepy cues, bright blue midday light keeps us alert, etc). This fixture is programmed to follow the natural circadian lighting pattern.
Both of the above are tied to what is called biophilic design – which is designing creating connections with nature. Since we didn’t have a physical connection to the outdoors, we were able to create a simulated environment, which mimics natural daylight, keeping that connection present for the students.
