As we celebrate Catholic Schools week and the value of Catholic education, we ask ourselves, “how do we inspire?” JB Westlake seventh grader Eddie Popiel was featured in the January/February 2025 issue of Northeast Ohio Catholic for just that.
Eddie, who started at JB Akron then transferred to Westlake in 2021, inspires not just his own family but the entire JB community. Eddie has shown tremendous growth during his time as a JB student and enjoys playing the piano and learning about clocks.

Julie Billiart Schools gave us hope after our daughter was diagnosed with a learning disability. At JB, she thrived in the small classes, received necessary therapies, and developed the self-confidence to ask for help when she needed it.
