I don’t think I will ever be able to put into words how grateful I am that you saw my daughter for all that she is today and all that she is yet to become.

Between bowling strikes, serving her Church, and running races, JB alumna Annalise Gibbons has just enough time to start thinking about college.
Gibbons is a current junior with second honors at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland. She’s been at VASJ since ninth grade, after graduating from Julie Billiart Schools.
“Julie Billiart impacted me by providing resources that I could utilize for the rest of my life. The staff at Julie Billiart also pushed and encouraged me to be my best self and be successful, not only during my time at JB but also when I walked out of the doors,” said Gibbons.
In addition to receiving honors academically, Gibbons also participates in several extracurricular activities. She is on the bowling team and runs cross country. She is also an athletic trainer, a student ambassador, an altar server, and a Eucharistic minister.
Gibbons has many wonderful memories from her time at JB that she cherishes.
“I enjoyed hanging out with friends on the swings at recess and going to Mr. Mozzocco’s Word Study class. I also enjoyed going to sixth grade camp at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and having lunch with Mrs. Davis-Frecker every couple of weeks,” said Gibbons. “I owe a big part of who I am today to the staff of Julie Billiart.”
With senior year quickly approaching, Gibbons is beginning to think about college. She is considering Ursuline, Notre Dame College, and Kent State University. She is interested in the medical field, particularly in becoming a sports trainer or a nurse.
Gibbons’ mother, Carla Gibbons, is proud of the young woman Annalise has become.
“All of the tools she learned and all of the therapies that she went through, and now she wants to help someone else,” said Mrs. Gibbons.
Gibbons resides in Highland Heights. She is the daughter of Dennis and Carla. She also has an older sister, Alexandra, and a younger brother, Dennis. When she is not busy with academics or extracurricular activities, Gibbons enjoys watching Netflix in her down time.
