Londyn Taylor, or “LT” as our faculty and staff have lovingly coined her, joined JB Lyndhurst in first grade. “My parents found JB, took a tour, and knew it was the perfect learning environment for me,” she said. “I had two teachers in the classroom, small classroom sizes, and one on one assistance if needed.”
During her years at JB, Londyn bloomed from a reserved and quiet young woman to a vocal, hilarious teenager who wowed everyone with her knowledge of classic movies. “JB felt like my second family. Every teacher I had, staff member, the school principal, and the president built some type of connection with me. We would talk about old movies because ‘I have an old soul.’”
She graduated from JB with honors in 2021 and served as a speaker at our Annual Celebrate Gala last year. We are immensely proud of the young woman she is, and we’re thrilled to watch her succeed at Beaumont High School.
“The first month of high school was a big transition for me, but I remembered what JB taught me. Always use your planner, prioritize, advocate for yourself, and persevere. When I started to think this way, my high school experience changed for the better.”
“Overall, JB has given me the confidence, strength, and tools to believe in myself and to know that I’m just like everyone else, regardless of my learning difference. No matter how I feel or where I go, I know that JB will be cheering me on.”
