JB's Featured Faculty

Michelle Kilker - Executive Assistant

I started at JB in November 2014 working in the Advancement office as an Administrative Assistant and Secretary to the Board of Directors. My role has changed over the past years and I am currently involved in many aspects of the school.

My background is actually in healthcare where I was a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for over twenty years in various facilities in the Cleveland area.  I worked primarily in Admissions and Marketing and thrived in working close with families and residents.

In 2015, I took a leap of faith and applied for jobs outside my field of gerontology and Julie Billiart School answered my prayer. In a very providential way, my desire to work with kids and helping others paired with a quick paced environment came to fruition.

"Her kindness and energy are contagious! Michelle's dedication to the students helps to make Julie Billiart School the amazing place we know and love. Michelle is always willing to jump in and help out in any way she can - you can see her dressed up as 'green fish' for Dr. Seuss' birthday, setting up rooms for board meetings, taking pictures of events at school, and making sure things run smoothly here in the building. Michelle is a needed and integral part of the JB Way!" said JB School Principal, Jodi Johnston.
As a Catholic K-8 school for children with unique learning and social needs, Julie Billiart School is rooted in the educational principles of the Sisters of Notre Dame and welcomes diverse faith traditions since 1954.  Julie Billiart School provides catered, student-driven learning for children with high functioning autism, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences. Julie Billiart Schools do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of our educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, and loan programs and athletic and other school administered programs.
