If your child has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) from your home school district, they are qualified for one of two scholarships offered by the state of Ohio.
The Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship
Program provides financial assistance to students who are eligible to attend kindergarten through 12th grade. The amount of each scholarship is based on the disability identified on the student’s IEP and may pay up to $27,000. More information can be found here
The Autism Scholarship Program (ASP)
gives the parents of children with autism the choice to send their child to a special education program other than the one operated by their home school district. The ASP provides $27,000 for the parents to allocate to a certified Autism Scholarship provider in the state of Ohio. To qualify for this program, the student must be identified as having autism by their home school district. and have an IEP. More information about the Autism Scholarship Program can be found here
