ADVANCEMENT COMMITTEE administers a comprehensive and ongoing program of fundraising, friend-raising, and community relations to advance the mission of Julie Billiart School and provide opportunities to our constituents for partnership and support.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE is comprised of the Board Chairman, Vice Chairman, President, a Sister of Notre Dame, and one additional member approved by the Board Chairman. They are responsible for setting the meeting's agenda and for governance between scheduled meetings.
FINANCE COMMITTEE plans for the long-term financial stability of the school and oversees the financial operations of the organization, including financial activity, the budgeting process, the financial audit, and investment performance.
GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE fosters a high level of board effectiveness by determining the skills, qualities, diversity, and relationships needed among Board members and identifies, cultivates, nominates, and recruits Board candidates with the necessary background.
INVESTMENT COMMITTEE assists the Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibility for the investment assets of Julie Billiart School. The Committee is responsible for formulating the overall investment policies of Julie Billiart School subject to approval by the Board of Directors, and for establishing investment guidelines in furtherance of those policies.
MARKETING COMMITTEE develops strategies on how to communicate Julie Billiart School's message to potential donors and to generate interest in the causes it represents. The Marketing Committee may use a range of methods to get the word out including billboards, Facebook, Twitter, the Julie Billiart School website, memorabilia, and direct mail campaigns.
PLANT AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE ensures an optimal and safe learning environment, conducive to the development of children with special learning needs, through the maintenance and capital improvements of the school's facilities.
STRATEGIC GROWTH COMMITTEE works to provide additional educational opportunities for children who learn differently through outreach activities and by expanding educational facilities.
TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE seeks to deploy and maintain legacy systems, software, and connectivity. Meanwhile, we are constantly exploring how to best use new forms of technology to maximize the learning experience for our students in the classroom and the productivity of our faculty, staff, and administrators in fulfillment of our mission.
