Our Mission

Julie Billiart School nurtures and empowers students with special learning needs. As a Catholic school rooted in the educational principles of the Sisters of Notre Dame, we welcomes diverse faith traditions.

    Our History

    1954
    JB IS FOUNDED
    The Sisters of Notre Dame opened our doors at Notre Dame Academy on Ansel Road with just 16 students.
     
    1958
    STATELY AND SERENE
    Relocated to Arter Mansion, our current home.
     
    1970
    GOT MOVING
    Constructed a gymnasium and, due to increased enrollment, moved primary level classes to Notre Dame College.
     
    1979
    FIRST ADDITION
    Built an addition of three classrooms, bathrooms, clinic, and offices. Primary level classes moved back to the Arter Mansion.
     
    2006
    SECOND ADDITION
    Dedicated a 16,000-sq-ft expansion with additional classrooms, resource rooms, and art/music areas.
     
    2009
    GROWING LEADERSHIP
    Changed from SND ownership to SND sponsorship and enlisted a Board of Directors to propel us into the future.
     
    2015
    LET’S CELEBRATE
    Proudly celebrated our 60th anniversary.

    STILL GOING BEYOND EDUCATION AND BEYOND EXPECTATIONS
