Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism
The Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism offer diagnosis, medication, autism research, Social SPIES program for children with high-functioning autism or Asperger’s (weekly sessions during school year and summer day camp), research studies, parent group therapy and workshops. They also will provide a free Autism Resource Guide, a 200-page comprehensive Autism Guide of services and organizations by county within the state of Ohio. Cleveland Clinic ADHD Center for Evaluation and Treatment (ACET)
ACET offers assessment and treatment designed specifically to assist children and families in managing ADHD at home, in school, and throughout life. Their services include Medication Monitoring Program, Social Skills Training for Children & Adolescents, and a Summer Treatment /Camp Program.
The Autism Society of Ohio
The Autism Society of Ohio provides information and referrals, family support, advocacy, professional development, raising awareness and resource development. The Autism Society of Ohio is a chapter of the national Autism Society. Programs in Greater Akron area include Asperger’s Boot Camp for Teens, iCan Bike Camp, family/community activities and a sports club.
Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI)
OCALI serves families, educators, and professionals working with students with autism spectrum disorders, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairments, other health impairments, and traumatic brain injuries. Westlake Satellite of CHADD
CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a national organization serving individuals with ADHD and their families. CHADD has over 16,000 members in 200 local chapters throughout the U.S. Chapters offer support for individuals, parents, teachers, professionals, and others.
The Northern Branch of International Dyslexia Association (IDA)
The International Dyslexia Association is a scientific and educational organization dedicated to the study and treatment dyslexia as well as related language-based learning differences. The NBIDA offers conferences, referrals and advocacy information and a list of service providers that can be found here.
