All of our classrooms are strategically designed to give students with learning differences an optimal environment for learning. As part of the JB model, each grade has a main classroom and a resource room.
The first floor of JB Westlake will welcome families into a spacious lobby, a front office, a nurse's station, and restrooms. Central to the first floor is the art therapy room, the kindergarten classroom and resource room, the first grade classroom and resource room, the office of our Board Certified Intervention Specialist, and a speech therapy room.
The second floor of JB Westlake will include a speech therapy room, an occupational therapy room, a music therapy room, and our Makerspace and library. Drenched in beautiful natural light from a large skylight, it will also house the second grade classroom and resource room, as well as restrooms, the Principal's office and a conference room. The second floor also includes a serene Chapel in which students receive weekly prayer service and space to reflect on God's Goodness.
The lower level of JB Westlake will include spacious classrooms and resource rooms for grades three through eight, as well as the Assistant Principal's office and restrooms. A furnished hallway will run through the space giving ample room for seating and storage.
JB Westlake will be newly furnished with new carpet, desks, tables, and many new rooms. The school will be washed in muted colors and tones.
