Admissions Process


In light of how COVID-19 is affecting schools in the state of Ohio and across the nation, some of our admissions processes and timelines have shifted. While things might look a little different right now, this won’t last forever. School is closed, but our faculty and staff are still delivering distance learning, occupational therapy, art therapy, music therapy, and speech therapy to current students. 

We’re actively reviewing applications for the 2020-2021 school year and encourage you to continue the application process. We’re here to guide you through the process and answer any questions you have. 


Continuing the Admissions Process 

Here are some steps to take while our school is temporarily closed

FAQs about Admissions During a School Closing

Q. Are you still accepting applications? 

  1. Yes! If you have already attended an open house, or plan to attend one virtually, now is a great time to submit your application. We are currently reviewing applications for the 2020-2021 school year. We encourage you to submit your application if you haven’t already done so. This helps us to begin the evaluation and moves you one step closer to enrollment if we determine a good fit.

Q. When will I be able to tour the school? 

  1. We realize that a school tour is an essential part of your decision-making process. We’re following the orders of the State of Ohio and will reopen as soon as we’re able. This could be anywhere from April 6, 2020, to some time in the summer. We will keep all families who have submitted applications updated with when our school reopens and when we can schedule tour dates. 

Q. Are there any current openings for my grade level? 

  1. This depends on what grade level and what campus you are interested in. Please call the campus of choice for information about our openings and our waitlist.

Q. When will shadow days take place? 

  1. If your scheduled shadow day or assessment has been postponed due to the school closing, we will reach out as soon as possible to reschedule. Our goal is that your child can shadow while faculty and students are here. This could mean later in the school year or during our camp in the summer. 

Q. How do I apply?

    A. Now is a great time to submit your application. To apply, you will need:

• $50 Nonrefundable Application Fee (waived through October)

   • Individualized Education Plan

• Birth Certificate

   • Psychological Evaluation (if applicable)

• Current Teacher Forms

   • Student Photo

• Evaluation Team Report

Q. I’ve already submitted my application. Now what? 

  1. If you’ve submitted your application, we will send you separate communications about what to expect over the coming weeks. We haven’t forgotten about you, and we’re eager to continue the admissions process with you and your child. Please check your email for additional correspondence.
