Golden Anniversary Celebration - May 16, 2004

50 years of blessings in educating our special JB students included an anniversary Mass on May 16. It was held at the Regina High School auditorium which allowed space for our many alumni parents, students, and, numerous guests to attend this celebration. Soon after, the students presented a drama which was a reenactment of the origins of Julie Billiart School at the Arter Mansion when the Sisters of Notre Dame welcomed the first students to their new home.
In gratitude to God for these wonderful 50 years, the Sisters of Notre Dame and our collaboraters looked to the future and envisioned plans for another new wing to be added to the original structure. The groundbreaking for this reality occurred on May 13, 2005.
When school reopened in August, how surprised the students were to see the "skeleton" of the new wing being added to their school. They watched the progress day-after-day.
This expansion would better serve our school population with state-of-the-art technology and other advancements in meeting the needs of future students coming to Julie Billiart School.
